The benefits of sport in contributing to a balanced and healthy lifestyle should not be underestimated. There are proven links between active daily hours and an increase in cognitive function.
Additionally, participation in sport and exercise are excellent ways to practice communication skills, collaborative working, listening, critical analysis, empathy and a commitment to goal setting and improving.
At SVIS, students benefit from one hour of sport per day. As well as the this, students have the opportunity to take advantage of our location and on-site specialists should they wish to pursue interests in Golf, Tennis or Horse Riding.
Many of our students, in both the primary and secondary school, receive specialist coaching - particularly in Golf - and are known to compete in local and international competitions.
Currently, we have students working at a soon-to-be professional level in Golf. We support these students' passion and dedication by offering modified timetables and supported study to ensure their holistic needs are met.
As well as Golf and Tennis facilities, the school has a grass football pitch and an indoor, multi-purpose gymnasium that is home to the students weekly yoga classes.
